New Media High School will welcome its first students in September 2026 with the mission of preparing them for careers in content creation, video media production, and entertainment management.

New Media High School is for students who aspire to work behind the cameras as directors, writers, producers, editors, and other new media roles.

The school will be located at the former site of the Dayton Street Elementary School, near Weequahic Park and adjacent to where Lionsgate Studios is scheduled to open its new 270,000-square-foot production facilities in 2026.
